Sony's slim offering

Sony's slim offering

SONY has launched its slimmest Cyber-shot digital camera yet, the Skinny T (DSC-T755), which is only 15mm thick but is still feature-packed.

The 10.3-megapixel camera includes features such as Super SteadyShot, optical image stabiliser, ISO of up to 3200, Smile Shutter and face detection.

According to Sony, the optical stabiliser and higher ISO range allow for sharper shots in low light conditions.

The Smile Shutter function automatically captures images when the camera detects a smiling face. Users can select adult or child as the subject and adjust the sensitivity of the smile detection.

The face detection option allows users to quickly search for images by choosing one of four options — children, infants, smiles and all people. The PhotoMusic application allows users to create and watch slideshows with background music.

Other features include a 4x optical zoom, a 3in LCD screen, 11 shooting modes (including two new underwater and gourmet modes), auto orientation and PictBridge support.

The Skinny T also has a number of in-camera retouching options such as unsharp, radial blur and fisheye lens effect.

Also, with an optional HD output adaptor, the camera can be connected to an LCD TV.

The Skinny T, which is available in black, expresso, green, pink and silver, retails for RM1,299. — ZAM KARIM
