Fujifilm Z200fd: Skinny compact digital camera

Fujifilm have announced a new, slim, feature packed camera, the Z200 in the US. The camera uses Couple and Group timer modes that will make use of Fujifilm’s face-detection technology.

These Couple and Group timer modes just show how advanced these cameras are becoming these days as both serve as primary functions for the camera. The Couple timer will take a picture when it detects two faces getting closer together and has three settings for the distance between faces, meanwhile the Group timer will delay taking a picture until it detects the correct number of faces in the frame, pretty cool if you ask me.

Customers who are intrigued by this camera will have to wait until September to get their hands on one, and it will price around $299.95. The good news is that you will be able to choose from a variety of colours: Black, Red, Pink and Silver.

- New modes including Folder Select (categorise your photos using handy preset folders) and Illustration Mode.

- PictBridge™ compatible for direct printing without a PC
